Dear Walter, thank you for your interest in the problem and for your readiness to share your observations. One thing I wish to draw your attention to is that among other respondents, there maybe many of those, who make up a lot of events that they are referring to. This may, as it seems to me as a non-professional, yet another symptom worth paying attention to. The episode you are mentioning with an elderly lady telling her story of surviving in the subway is one illustration of such behavior. It must have been either a misunderstanding and it was not actually a a subway station, but, rather, some sort of a basement, or the lady must have made up her story, because neither one of 4 ukrainian subway systems, including the metrotram in Kryvy Rig, had been controlled by russians during this invasion to a point where they would be allowed to go down and count anybody and provide anybody with food. Such facts, I think, should be checked, because trauma frequently, I believe, forces us to either make up or augment the reality, and it may be important for your work to watch it happen.
Thanks, Denys, for your care for accuracy. I re-listened to my recording and the word used was "bunker" not "subway station," and I made a false assumption because earlier there were references to subway stations sometimes being used as bunkers also. I will correct the reference above.
