Good read, thanks. These passages serve as a mirror, don’t they. Reflecting our violence back to us and the ways we hang our violence on God to justify it.

Thank you for this. Do you have a copy of my commentary on the book of Joshua? In the introduction I use the idea of a conversation as well. You can read the whole introduction in the Kindle sample (Amazon.ca)
